This website, www.lesj.biz, is run by Kumiko Tanaka, a Certified Administrative Procedures Specialist in Japan doing business as Legal English Services in Japan ("Owner"). Please read the following Terms of Use carefully before you use the services of Legal English Services in Japan ("LESJ"). LESJ reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove any portions of the contents on this website at any time without prior notification.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
You are deemed to have read and accepted these Terms of Use by requesting a quote or placing an order to LESJ via e-mail or in any other manner.
2. YOUR OBLIGATIONS
You agree to provide LESJ with true and accurate information regarding yourself and as to any matters requested by LESJ for preparation of documents relating to your application for government approvals including for issuance of visas and business permits. If LESJ suspects that the information is inaccurate or incomplete, LESJ reserves the right to immediately refuse or terminate service to you without incurring any liability for the refund of the fees received or for any associated expenses you have incurred.
3. YOUR REVIEW OF WORK
If you are not satisfied with any part of the services rendered by LESJ, you are to notify LESJ within 14 days from receiving such service specifying details of corrections or changes you wish to be made. In such case, LESJ shall correct, at no cost to you, any errors made by LESJ at the earliest time possible.
4. CANCELLATION
If you cancel any portion of the work assigned to LESJ after placing an order to LESJ, you shall compensate LESJ for the services that have been rendered by LESJ up to the date when LESJ receives such cancellation notice. However, in no event shall the compensation amount be less than 50% of the agreed fee. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, you may cancel, without charge or penalty, at any time during the period from the time you place an order and the time LESJ initiates services for your order.
5. REFUSAL OF SERVICE
LESJ reserves the right to refuse, cancel or suspend service at its sole discretion in case there exist justifiable reasons to do so. In such case, LESJ shall give you no refund or a refund of up to 100% of payments for fees and/or reimbursements of expenses it has received, as the case may be.
6. REFERRAL TO OTHER PROFESSIONALS OR BUSINESS ENTITIES
LESJ has a network of experienced professionals and business entities to which you may be referred from time to time if LESJ considers it to serve your best interests. In such case, you are directly and independently contracted with each of such parties for receiving their services and LESJ will be a third party that bears no duty or liability with respect to your contract with such parties.

7. DISCLAIMER
- Neither Owner nor LESJ shall be liable in any event for any claims, losses or liabilities suffered or incurred by you as a result of any act or omission by LESJ unless such claim, loss or liability was directly caused by LESJ’s gross negligence, bad faith, willful misconduct or willful omission.
- LESJ shall not be liable for any trouble, damages or losses arising from the use of the information contained in this website.
- LESJ shall make every effort to complete its services by the agreed delivery date but shall not be responsible for any delays resulting from acts of nature or from any other cause that is beyond LESJ's control.
- LESJ shall make every effort to assist you in your application for government approvals; however, LESJ makes no guarantee, expressed or implied, with respect to the successful result in your favor.
8. JURISDICTION
Any dispute arising out of or in relation to services provided by LESJ shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
